Why I Support Giving To Faith Baptist Bible College & Theological Seminary
A Bible college does not grow in numbers like a regular college because it is designed to prepare those whom the Lord has called for Bible ministries. When we receive the notice that the school needs funds, it is a wonderful opportunity to pray and give. Let me suggest four solid reasons why I love to give a portion of my income to FBBC&TS.
First, it is an investment in unique people-not just students, but also parents, churches, and teachers. Sure, my gift is small, but it means I am part of this great work for Jesus Christ.
Second, personally, I am pleased because I will receive a blessing from the Lord Himself, Who said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)
Third, the Lord has revealed that He apparently desires a generous mind and loves a cheerful heart, according to the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7.
Fourth, our faithful giving brings joy and confidence to those in the leadership and who teach and work at FBBC&TS. Who else cares for the future of the churches and mission fields? The advice from the Apostle Paul sounds perfect in Galatians 6:10: "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." (NIV)
